OMG, MOM!!

Ugh! Some days it's really challenging to be Mama to two teenage girls! Whew, I feel too old for the challenge. Shouldn't I be happily spoiling my grandbabies by now & leaving the tough parenting to their parents?? This is one argument for having your children a bit younger than I did. I was a woman-of-the-80's-jargon that said, "You, as a woman, can have it all".... "Have your career.... you can have children into your 40's". Oh Boy.....
No one ever said, "Wow.... you're going to be really tired, short on patience and longing to go on RV trips w/your Man, then, sit on the porch, quietly...."
Depending on the day, I tell my girls to: Have their children earlier than I did, or on an especially trying day..... "It's quite ok NOT to have children..." H.O.N.E.S.T.L.Y

ahhhh....but you are a great mom! Those girls are lucky! Do you still find time to make your jewelry?

Am thinking some of those thoughts are not age related as a parent..It's a darn hard job..Why oh why weren't they born with a "How to raise the perfect child" book!! Since they weren't (at least mine wasnt!) ya just gotta do the best ya can at the time..I think about some of the ways I handled things with Amity and I wish I could take them back. Erase the mean and spiteful things I said/did..but I cant..I do talk to her about some of those things now, sometimes she actually cuts me a little slack! BG.. I guess I think we need to just embrace the lives we are so very lucky to live, hope what we do is for the best..and pray!! Love ya Trish..You are a good mama..

Thank you, Mark. I hadn't made jewelry for quite some time. Been doing a lot of other artsy stuff, but just the last couple of weeks, got my tools & gems out & am having a fun go at it again. Paula, I truly hear ya! Cheri, what is your blog address?
